Descriptions of Classes at The Yoga Experience

Flow-based Classes

Rejuvenating Flow: Create balance, vitality, and radiance through asana (posture), pranayama (breathing exercises), and meditation in a steady moving class that incorporates some yoga therapy, alignment, accessible sequencing, and an overall balanced approach to the practice.

Vinyasa Focus Flow: Prepare to focus your flow with this challenging and progressive class. Each class will target a particular asana or sequence of asanas, bringing the flow of your breath and mind into focus for a particular purpose.

Prana Flow: This enlivening, creative, and inspiring class is based on the yoga teachings of Shiva Rea, Angela Farmer, and Victor van Kooten. You’ll not only work with strengthening, stretching, and toning your physical body, but you’ll also dive deeper into working with your breathe and energetic body, leaving you feeling lighter, brighter, and radiantly embodied. Bhakti Flow incorporates the spirit of Bhakti, or the yoga of devotion and more use of mantra.

YogaHour®: This class, designed by Darren Rhodes of Yoga Oasis in Tucson, Arizona, is accessible and affordable and offers clear and specific alignment instructions. It aims to be a doable yet difficult 1-hour flow class. Each class will be one of many established set sequences. The room is heated to 80–85 degrees. Appropriate for all levels of student that can tolerate the heat.

Happy Hour Vinyasa Flow: Start your weekend with a healthy happy hour! This class is a playful, led practice that explores a variety of asanas through a flow-based approach. Practice with a supportive community and space to ask questions.

Alignment & Learning-based Classes

Yoga Basics: These classes teach fundamental postural alignment while building core strength, flexibility, and body awareness. It’s not only for students who are new to yoga, but also for dedicated yogis with limitations in their physical capacity due to age, injury, or manageable medical conditions.

Yoga Lab: Prepare to delve deeply and explore. Through intelligent sequencing and clear educating instruction, we will dissect postures, alignment, philosophy, and any element of practice you are willing to uncover. We will hard by attending to details and progressing postures.

Restorative Yoga Restorative: Yoga allows the body to rest and heal, relieves the effects of chronic stress, supports a healthy immune system, and slows down the body and mind for better sleep. It often includes a lengthy guided meditation called Yoga Nidra.

Moving into Mindfulness: Heat your body and cool your mind. An emphasis will be placed on mindfulness during our asana practice, creating a deep sense of awareness of our bodies and breath, leading us to a longer meditation and savasana.

Body Support Classes

Yamuna® Body Rolling: YBR is a completely original fitness and therapy practice that was created by Yamuna Zake and combines healing, wellness, and injury prevention in a single, simple workout. YBR heals body problems at the same time that it helps you get in shape.
